About Us
We opened our cafe based on the concept that food is culture and music its perfect backdrop. The coffee we brew and serve is exclusively imported to our shop from the beautiful state of Veracruz, Mexico. You won't find this delicacy outside of its home of origin except for here at Cafecito in Iowa City, Iowa. Our food offerings are hand-crafted by seasoned bakers using time-honored recipes and authentic ingredients. Our drinks are made with organic milks and fruits. We take efforts to chose sustainable products, such as our fun edible chocolate straws! We are a Miami-style Latin fusion cafe in the Hawkeye state with our own signature flavor and flare.

Sunny days guarantee that our awning covered patio will be open for guests to enjoy a frozen fruit paleta and refreshing beverage like our signature Mango Mambo or Dragon Fruit-based "Pink Flamingo". Snowy days are perfect for sitting inside our cozy cafe with plenty of sweet treats and warm beverages to choose from!

We pride ourselves on providing organic, fair trade tea and single origin, 100% Arabica coffee imported exclusively to our Cafe. We work with Midwest, independent bakers to source the freshest and tastiest additions to your coffee.
